In particular, the work of Nancy Uri, the campus police, and everyone that was involved in allowing visitors to park on campus during the funeral was very much appreciated. Thanks to all who brought chili and to those who bought chili during the engineering management and systems engineering charity event for GRACE (Greater Rolla Area Charitable Enterprise). The total amount raised was $138. Theresa Busch won first place in the chili cook-off.

Robert Berkelman won first place in the costume contest. Debbie Sickler finished second and Jeff King finished third. Additionally, Jesse Singleton won a pumpkin jar in a separate contest.

Although we had extremely hot weather for the 2007 Opening Week, it turned out very well, thanks to the cooperative efforts of the many faculty, staff and students who participated.
