Now is a great time to think about upgrading your home computer. Apple has recently announced a rebate of up to $229 when you purchase an Apple computer with an iPod. Missouri S&T Bookstore has Apple computers as low as $799.

The sales tax holiday will be Aug. 7-9. If you reserve your computer now, the bookstore will hold it to be charged in August to save state and city sales tax.

Missouri S&T Bookstore will hold a sidewalk sale from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. Tuesday, April 28, through Thursday, April 30, outside Havener Center. Items will be significantly discounted to make room for new merchandise available in the fall. Items will include T-shirts, sweatshirts, caps, polos and more, and are available in infant to adult sizes.

The Missouri S&T Bookstore's textbook rental program, working with the math department, has saved students nearly $100,000 by renting only one title over the last three semesters. Staff Council members serve as representatives for Missouri S&T staff and welcome hearing concerns or questions about procedures and policies that affect Missouri S&T staff. Staff Council meetings are open meetings and staff members are encouraged to attend.
