Applications for Renaissance Student Award due March 22

The award is presented by the arts, languages, and philosophy department, and co-sponsored by the College of Arts, Sciences, and Education, the College of Engineering, and Computing, and the Kummer College of Innovation, Entrepreneurship, and Economic Development.

The American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) student chapter at Missouri S&T was awarded the 2022 ASCE Distinguished Chapter Award for Region 7, which includes Wyoming, Colorado, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa and Missouri. S&T also received a national ASCE Significant Improvement Award.

Mathias Whitworth received the 2017 American Institute of Chemical Engineers (AIChE) Virtus Dynamical Chemical Engineering Student Award, sponsored by MYNAH Technologies, on April 12 in St. Louis. He received the award for outstanding scholarship and service to AIChE. In addition to many other accomplishments, he has led the AIChE Chem-E-Car team for two years.

The Extraordinary Student Leader Award is presented to a graduating senior who, through a variety of leadership roles, has substantially impacted the campus and is deserving of recognition for their contributions to campus during their time at Missouri S&T.
