Mark your calendar for Fall Staff Appreciation Day
In appreciation for the work and dedication of S&T staff, Staff Council invites all staff to join them for Fall Staff Appreciation Day 8:30 a.m.-noon Wednesday, Oct. 31, at the Puck. In case of inclement weather, the event will be held in the Missouri Ozark Room of the Havener Center.

The next Staff Council meeting will be held 9 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 6, in the Meramec-Gasconade Room of the Havener Center. Staff Council meetings are open to all faculty, staff and students to attend. You do not have to be a member of Staff Council to attend our meetings or to be active in many of our committees. Ballots for the Missouri S&T Staff Council’s vacant positions were emailed to benefit-eligible staff members on July 2. The email was sent from S&T Staff Council with the subject line “Missouri S&T Staff Council Election 2018 – Ballot.” The ballots are due Friday, July 13.

If you missed Staff Day on May 30 or would like to watch the Western-themed videos from the opening ceremony again, two videos are posted online. Visit staffcouncil.mst.edu/staff-day and scroll down for the videos: “The Wild WeS&T” and a staff service awards video that honors employees with service anniversaries in five-year increments, from 5 years to 40 years.

Missouri S&T’s Staff Council offers a scholarship program to assist staff members who are furthering their education. Full-time S&T employees enrolled in at least one class at Missouri S&T or another University of Missouri System campus can apply for a $250 scholarship. Scholarships are awarded twice yearly, for the spring and fall semesters. The deadline for the fall semester is Friday, June 15.
