Seven S&T faculty receive UM Research Board Grants

The University of Missouri Research Board recently awarded grants to seven Missouri S&T faculty members in the College of Arts, Sciences, and Business. 41 S&T faculty members honored for outstanding teaching

Forty-one faculty members have received the Outstanding Teaching Award for 2016-17. The winners were recognized at a ceremony in November. The Outstanding Teaching Award is given each year to faculty members by the Outstanding Teaching Award committee, which bases its selections on student evaluations.

DeWitt publishes peer-reviewed article

Dr. Petra DeWitt, an assistant professor of history and political science, published a peer-reviewed article titled “ ‘Clear and Present Danger’: The Legacy of the 1917 Espionage Act in the United States,” in Vol. 42, Issue 2, Summer 2016, of Historical Reflections/Reflexions Historiques. The journal publishes articles in English and French and is committed to interdisciplinary studies as well as comparative approaches.
