The University of Missouri Research Board recently awarded grants to seven Missouri S&T faculty members in the College of Arts, Sciences, and Business. The 12-month grants provide seed money for research initiatives in the categories of humanities, fine arts, social sciences and behavioral sciences. The recipients and their projects are:
- Dr. Petra DeWitt, assistant professor of history and political science, who received $10,681 for her project, “The Missouri Home Guard during the Great War”
- Dr. Hanqing Fang, assistant professor of business and information technology, who received $19,000 for his project, “Woman Family Member Involvement in Family Business”
- Dr. Shannon Fogg, professor and chair of history and political science, who received $6,045 for her project, “The American Friends Service Committee”
- Dr. Clair Reynolds Kueny, assistant professor of psychological science, who received $20,600 for her project, “Development of Team Processes and Emergency States”
- Dr. Justin Pope, assistant professor of history and political science, who received $14,636 for his project, “Dangerous Spirit of Liberty”
- Dr. Kathleen Sheppard, associate professor of history and political science, who received $2,366 for her project, “Cairo’s Cognititve Topology: Hotels and British Egyptology”
- Dr. Nathan Twyman, assistant professor of business and information technology, who received $16,100 for his project, “Non-Invasive Human Risk Assessment for Security-Pilot”
