Give blood and get Springfield Cardinals tickets and shirt

Staff Council is hosting a “Bleed Red” blood drive 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Thursday, June 27, in St. Pat’s Ballroom A and B of the Havener Center. While supplies last, donors will receive a Springfield Cardinals baseball shirt and two tickets to a Springfield Cardinals home game.

Passing of August Garver

August Junior “Gus” Garver, professor emeritus of mathematics, passed away May 29 at age 92. He joined S&T’s faculty in 1959 and retired in 1992.

Educational research mini-grants available

Proposals are being accepted for the 2020-21 cycle of S&T’s educational research min-grant program sponsored by the Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence (CAFE). Full-time faculty, full-time staff and department chairs who have teaching duties may apply for $500 to $2,500 for an individual project or up to $4,500 for an interdisciplinary team project.
