Windows 11 transition process

In 2023, the S&T information technology team began work on a transition to the Windows 11 operating system and started communicating with employees so campus computers comply with UM System information security policies and guidelines. As of Monday, April 7, IT has replaced or updated 90% of computers to Windows 11.

New Help Desk ticketing system debuts today

IT updating Outlook due to security vulnerability

S&T’s IT team will push out an emergency security update for Outlook today (Thursday, Feb. 13) to campus computers. The update may require a reboot. If prompted to reboot your computer, please save your work before the two-hour warning expires.

Windows computer updates planned this weekend

Windows updates will occur this weekend from midnight Friday, August 11, to 6 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 12. Please leave your computer connected to the S&T network and powered on if leaving your computer on campus. If you need to take your computer home, make sure it is connected to your home network and plugged in to a power source.
