Seven S&T faculty receive UM Research Board Grants

41 S&T faculty members honored for outstanding teaching

Forty-one faculty members have received the Outstanding Teaching Award for 2016-17. The winners were recognized at a ceremony in November. The Outstanding Teaching Award is given each year to faculty members by the Outstanding Teaching Award committee, which bases its selections on student evaluations.

McMillin serving on board of directors for ABET society

Dr. Bruce McMillin, associate dean for research and external relations in the College of Engineering and Computing and professor of computer science, has been named to a three-year term on the board of directors of CSAB. CSAB is the lead society within the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET) for accreditation of degree programs in computer science, information systems, software engineering, information technology and cybersecurity.

College Choice chooses S&T for best online IT master’s degrees list

In rankings published July 18, College Choice names Missouri S&T to its “35 Best Online Master’s in Information Technology Degrees list. Missouri S&T ranks No. 7 on the list, which also includes Johns Hopkins University (No. 8), George Washington University (No. 16) and Colorado State University (No. 30).
