Windows will update 2-6 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 13. If your computer stays on campus, please leave it powered on and connected to the S&T network. If you take your computer home, connect it to your home network and plug it into a power source.

Windows 10 support ends Sept. 15

On Monday, Sept. 15, S&T IT will end support for Windows 10 and any remaining Windows 10 devices will be blocked from the campus network. User logins for most of these computers have been blocked since Thursday, April 17.

On Monday, Sept. 15, S&T IT will end support for Windows 10 managed computers. Starting that day, any remaining Windows 10 devices will be blocked from the campus network. Most of these computers have already had user logins blocked since Thursday, April 17.

Lightshot screen capture app blocked due to cybersecurity vulnerability

The application Lightshot automatically uploads screenshots to a webpage, and anyone with a link can gain access to the screenshots. Additionally, by changing the last few characters of the link, you can easily gain access to someone else’s screenshots.
