Approximately 500 girls in seventh and eighth grades who are interested in math and science will come to campus tomorrow (Friday, Oct. 5) for a STEM day of learning fun, named Expanding Your Horizons. Several school busses will load and unload students near the 11th St. and Main St. entrance to Leach Theatre 7:45-9:45 a.m. and 2:15-3:15 p.m.

Women are needed to volunteer as group guides for attendees of the 19th annual Expanding Your Horizons conference, which will be held Friday, Oct. 5, at S&T. The conference introduces seventh- and eighth-grade girls to careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) fields. The event brings more than 450 Missouri students to campus.

Approximately 500 seventh- and eighth-grade girls will visit Missouri S&T’s campus for the Expanding Your Horizons Conference Friday, Nov. 17. Five volunteers are still needed to help guide groups of attendees to workshops throughout campus. Volunteer hours are 8:15 a.m.-1:15 p.m. and lunch is provided.
