First created by Sidney Larson, the mural depicts the history of Rolla from 1844 to the 1950s. It was originally commissioned by Edward Sowers in 1952 and displayed in the Sowers Building, which houses The Rolla Daily News. The Sowers family donated the mural to Missouri S&T, where it will be on public display in the library.
