Dr. Trent Brown, associate professor of American studies at Missouri S&T, was interviewed for a Christian Science Monitor article about Confederate monuments. The story by Weston Williams, “Appeals Court Rules that Confederate Monuments Can Come Down in New Orleans,” was published March 7. Brown’s research focuses on the cultural history of the twentieth-century United States, particularly race and gender in the recent South.
