Students build with food donations in CANstruction competition

Participating in S&T’s Staff Council food and toy drive, the civil, architectural and environmental engineering department collected more than 4,500 food items, beating the previous department record of 3,100 items. Students entered the Architectural Engineering Institute’s national CANstruction student competition building three models completely out of the donated food items – a Christmas tree, Santa’s sleigh and a three-car train.

Myers earns outstanding educator award

Dr. John Myers has been selected as a top educator by the Architectural Engineering Institute. Myers is associate dean of academic affairs for the College of Engineering and Computing, and a professor of civil, architectural and environmental engineering.
