Temporary heating has been added to the first floor of Parker Hall in order for repairs to be made to the permanent heating and cooling system. The National Weather Service in Springfield, Missouri, has issued a wind chill watch from tomorrow evening (Tuesday, Jan. 29) through the morning of Thursday, Jan. 31. Dangerously cold wind chills (40 degrees below 0) are possible in Phelps County and surrounding counties. The wind chills could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes. Look to the university website, alert.mst.edu, for winter weather tips and information on cancellations or university closings.

To ensure compliance with federal Financial Conflict of Interest (FCOI) regulations and University of Missouri System institutional policies, changes are planned to S&T’s proposal submissions and award process. Dr. Costas Tsatsoulis, vice chancellor of research and dean of graduate studies, will host a forum at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, in Leach Theatre to address the regulations, the impact on processes, and to address any questions or concerns.

Learn about Holocaust today, hear professor’s story
You’re invited to learn about the Holocaust through various events at S&T today (Monday, Jan. 28). A “pop-up museum” with information on various aspects of the Holocaust is on display in the Havener Center Atrium.
