Smart living networking session planned today
The second of three smart living networking sessions for this semester will be held 3-4:30 p.m. Monday, March 4, in the Mizzouri-Ozark Room of the Havener Center. Come listen to smart living hires and those who have received smart living seed funding to learn about research in the smart living area. There are some spots left if you would like to pitch your idea for smart living.

Missouri S&T will conduct a test of its emergency alert system at noon Wednesday, March 6. The test will include a text message to students, faculty and staff saying, “This is a test of the Missouri S&T emergency mass notification system. This is only a test.” The test will also include voice and email alerts. If you are not enrolled in the emergency alert system, you may sign up at alert.mst.edu.

Staff spotlight: Mark Leathers
In his 26 years as a police officer and working various second jobs, coworkers knew Mark Leathers as an unofficial “IT person” or “camera guru” or “computer-fixer guy.” Since joining Missouri S&T three years ago, Leathers has put those skills to work in an official role: access control specialist.
