Open forums with CIO finalists start today
Faculty, staff and students are invited to participate in upcoming open forums for candidates for S&T’s chief information officer. Open forums for the three CIO finalists will be held:
- 2 p.m. Monday, Aug. 26, in the Ozark Room of the Havener Center
- 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, in the Turner Room of the Havener Center
- 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, in the Turner Room of the Havener Center
Open forum planned tomorrow with enrollment management candidate
The campus community is invited to an open forum 1-2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 27, in St. Pat’s C of the Havener Center, with Shobi Sivadasan, a candidate for vice provost of enrollment management at S&T.

Several award-winning S&T faculty welcome other instructors to observe their classes. The Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence (CAFE) offers a
searchable
table on its website for instructors to find the appropriate
class to observe by class size, day, students served, discipline or instructor.
Temporary water outage planned in McNutt Hall today
Due to water line repairs in McNutt Hall, hot and cold water will shut off for approximately 30-45 minutes starting at 1 p.m. today (Friday, Aug. 23).

The Forumla SAE Design Team will test drive its car at approximately 5:30 p.m. today (Friday, Aug. 23) in Lot C-11, located across from Leach Theatre. The team will use the eastern portion of the lot.
Read More »Power outage in T.J. Hall at 11 a.m.
In order to repair electrical damage caused by recent storms, Thomas Jefferson Residence Hall will not have electrical power starting at 11 a.m. today (Thursday, Aug. 22). The temporary power outage is expected to last approximately four hours. Generators will provide emergency lighting in the hallways as well as a functioning fire alarm system.

MinerRama moving indoors
Due to the weather forecast and the possibility of inclement weather, MinerRama will be held 11 a.m.-2 p.m. tomorrow (Friday, Aug. 23) inside the Havener Center Atrium instead of outdoors. Dr. Mo Dehghani, chancellor, and S&T’s leadership team will serve ice cream treats 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Havener Center.
