Police, fire officials to attend training Thursday
Do not be alarmed if you see emergency vehicles, such as fire trucks, police cars and ambulances on campus Thursday, Dec. 12. S&T’s environmental health and safety and University Police are hosting annual off-site responder training 2-3 p.m. at the Missouri S&T Nuclear Reactor.

Landscape crew makes campus shine
Drive or stroll down 10th Street at night and you’ll see a festive holiday tree on the southeast corner of Castleman Hall. The landscape services team decorated the tree last week. Lights will be visible from dusk until dawn.

Reduced operations planned for winter break
The University of Missouri System is once again reducing operations for winter break, which is Thursday, Dec. 26, through Tuesday, Dec. 31. Missouri S&T will follow reduced operations procedures during this time, per the Collected Rules and Regulations for winter break.

On Tuesday, Dec. 10, construction fencing will be installed around the perimeter of S&T’s former power plant as crews prepare to remove the power plant chimneys.

Commencement ceremonies to be livestreamed
Missouri S&T’s commencement ceremonies will livestreamed on S&T’s Facebook page Saturday, Dec. 14. The morning ceremony will begin at 10 a.m. and the afternoon ceremony will begin at 3:30 p.m.

Sign your team up for S&T’s escape room
Career opportunities and employer relations (COER) opened a career-themed escape room to students in November for a limited time. All the student spots filled up within hours. The escape room will be available by appointment for faculty and staff next week for professional development.
Read More »Upgrades planned for physical facilities work order system
The facilities services work order system, Maximo, will be upgraded to a new version. This new version will have a different look and feel but will operate in the same general fashion. Please note:
- Maximo will be shut down at 5 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 12.
- The upgrade is expected to take 3.5 days.
- During the outage, you will not be able to create or view service requests.
- The new Maximo is scheduled to go live at 6 a.m. Monday, Dec. 16.
