The High Performance Computing (HPC) center will be down for scheduled maintenance on Wednesday, Jan. 20. A reservation is in place to prevent new jobs from starting if they are scheduled to be run during the outage.

Fan cutouts are now available through S&T Athletics. Show your Miner Pride with a personalized cutout for all games in Gibson Arena this season. For $30 and with an upload of your picture from mid-torso up, you can be represented at all the basketball and volleyball games during the Spring 2021 season. Proceeds from the sale of cutouts will be split between the S&T Student Emergency Fund and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

$20 million grant funds steel development for U.S. Army

As the U.S. Army modernizes weapons systems and combat vehicles, Missouri S&T researchers are developing lightweight and ultra-high-strength steels for combat vehicles that improve blast resistance and lower transportation costs.

“Missouri S&T offers one of only seven metallurgical engineering programs in the U.S.,” says Dr. Laura Bartlett, the Robert V. Wolf Associate Professor in Metallurgical Engineering and lead researcher for the project.
