You’re invited to complete the 2019 Student Survey on Sexual Misconduct, which collects information on the scope of sexual violence experienced by our students as well as how current programming, training and response efforts are performing. The survey, which has been emailed to students, is voluntary and all responses are anonymous. You can be entered in to win one of two $250 bookstore gift cards.

Missouri S&T Wind Symphony to perform outdoor concert
The University Wind Symphony and S&T Video Game Music Ensemble will perform an outdoor concert at 12 p.m. Friday, April 26 on the lawn in front of the Havener Center. The concert is free and audience members are welcome to bring lunch and a blanket or lawn chair to sit on.
The Wind Symphony will be performing selections from the soundtrack of “Les Misérables” arranged by Jay Bocook, “Lassus Trombone” by Henry Fillmore, and Pytor Ilyich Tchaikovsky’s “1812 Overture” arranged by Mayhew Lake. Faculty from S&T’s explosives engineering program will provide pyrotechnics for this performance of the “1812 Overture.”

Apply for mini-grant to help celebrate our 150th anniversary
As the 150th anniversary of our university’s founding draws closer, registered student organizations, academic units and administrative units that have plans to celebrate this milestone anniversary are invited to apply for one of several mini-grants available to help fund projects and activities that best meet the goals of celebrating the 150th and raising S&T’s visibility to key audiences. Up to $5,000 will be available per grant, depending on funding availability. For more details, visit marketing.mst.edu/150.

Our organization has been facilitating difficult conversations in safe spaces on campus since 2001.
On April 30th at 6pm in St. Pat’s C we are having “A Conversation on Learning”. This session will be an open dialogue between students, faculty, staff and administrators about student experiences in the classroom and the importance of student/professor collaboration in the learning process. Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering will be hosting a mini-electronics trade show in the atrium of Toomey hall on Thursday (April 18th) from 10:00 until 2:00.

Fitness Center Dedication

As part of MKT 5001 (Marketing Analytics) class, I have organized this speaker session on Tuesday, April 16th at 2pm in Bertelsmyer B12B. Faculty, staff, and students are more than welcome to attend the session. The speaker will join us through Zoom conference. Dr. Jonathan Frey is recently retired from his position as Director of Operations Intelligence at Taco Bell Corporation, where he served for 15 years as a data scientist for Operations, Finance, IT, R&D, and HR related projects. Prior to joining Taco Bell, Jonathan served as a Product Development Manager at Mars for 13 years and at Kraft, Inc. as a Research Scientist for 4 years. He holds a B.S. in Bacteriology and a Ph.D. in Food Microbiology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
