Opportunities for Undergraduate Research accepting applications

The Opportunities for Undergraduate Research Experiences program is accepting applications through May 1. The program is designed to expand hands-on learning opportunities, increase student engagement with faculty and strengthen research activity across campus. Postponed: Planned power outage to affect three campus buildings April 18

A planned power outage is scheduled 6 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday, April 18, to support the Applied Research Center capital project. The outage is scheduled for a weekend to minimize academic disruption. Facilities that will be affected by the power outage include: the Computer Science Building, Curtis Laws Wilson Library and Straumanis‑James Hall.

Volunteer, host an activity on STEM Exploration Day

The Kummer Center for STEM Education will host approximately 1,000 kindergarten through 6th grade students for a STEM Exploration Day field trip Wednesday, May 6, on campus. Missouri S&T faculty, staff and student groups are invited to host 45-minute workshops, demonstrations, tours or hands-on activities that engage visiting students in fun, age-appropriate STEM experiences.
