Travel grant applications due today

TThe Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence (CAFE) offers professional development grants of up to $1,000 for early-career faculty, both tenure-track and non-tenure track. The grants are designed to help early-career faculty travel to conferences or workshops for their professional development or to meet with fund managers. One grant is allowed per faculty member per academic year. The application deadline is today (Thursday, March 1). Curriculum development grants available for faculty

The Center for Educational Research and Teaching Innovation (CERTI) is accepting proposals for the 2018-19 cycle of the Curriculum Development Faculty Grant program. These grants support the planning, development and implementation of new, sustainable curriculum or instruction that infuses one or more of the following skill sets into the undergraduate student experience: entrepreneurial mindset, creativity, innovation, design-thinking and leadership.

Deadline approaches for mini-grant letter of intent

All faculty and staff planning to submit a proposal for the Educational Research Mini-Grant program should submit a letter of intent to the CERTI office by Thursday, March 1. Please email the letter of intent to certi@mst.edu or mail the letter to 207 Norwood Hall, with the title of your project and a brief, 100-word abstract.

Proposal-writing bootcamp coming March 15

A Proposal Writing Bootcamp will be held 8 a.m.-4 p.m. Thursday, March 15 (during spring recess during St. Pat’s), in the Missouri-Ozark Room of the Havener Center. The workshop will feature program directors from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and National Science Foundation (NSF) as well as presentations from the Broader Impacts Network. Apply for funding to publish results from mini-grant project

Past recipients of S&T educational research mini-grants who plan to disseminate their project results may apply for funding from the provost’s office through the Center for Advancing Faculty Excellence (CAFE). Past recipients may apply for up to $1,000 for project-related travel expenses and costs related to presenting or publishing the results of your educational research project. To apply, please submit a proposal by Friday, May 18, to the CERTI office. Details are available online.
