Civil engineering guest lecture

The Center for Infrastructure Engineering Studies will host a guest lecture by Dr. Zongjin Li, professor of civil and environmental engineering at The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 15, in Room 318 Butler-Carlton Civil Engineering Hall. The topic of the lecture is “Development of Advanced Cement-Based Engineering Material Techniques.” All faculty and students are invited to attend. Light refreshments will be served.

New academic advising system

The University of Missouri System campuses have agreed to concurrently implement Starfish Early Alert, an academic advising system, as part of the comprehensive retention initiative. Library extends hours

Curtis Laws Wilson Library will have extended hours for the final weeks of the semester. The library will close at 2 a.m. for the rest of the semester. Summer intersession hours will begin on Friday, May 16.

University Police encourages members of the campus community to secure their belongings at all times and to consider adding an identifying mark to textbooks. One suggestion is to add a word or symbol to a particular page that you alone can identify.
