For 2015, the University of Missouri System will introduce new medical plan choices, as well as new wellness incentive options that offer up to $450 for taking steps to live a healthier life. This year, employees will be required to either select and submit a new medical plan, or waive coverage during this fall’s annual enrollment, which starts in October.
Make sure your contact information is up-to-date in myHR so that you are contacted in the coming months about the actions you must take. If you are a supervisor of employees who do not regularly access computers during the workday, let them know about the upcoming changes and remind them to update their home address in myHR.
Both employees and the university contribute a significant amount toward individual medical coverage. With this investment, individuals should carefully review their options and make a choice that is best for them and their family. Watch for annual enrollment emails and home mailings in the coming months, and read them closely.
