Rolla Town Band to perform July 2

The Rolla Town Band will perform the first of three concerts this summer at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, July 2, on the Castleman Green, located at the corner of 10th and State streets. The concert is free and open to the public.

Oerther selected to attend 2015 Keck Futures Conference

Dr. Daniel Oerther, the John A. and Susan Mathes Chair of Environmental Engineering at Missouri S&T, has been selected to participate in the National Academies Keck Futures Conference titled “Art and Science, Engineering, and Medicine Frontier Collaborations: Ideation, Translation and Realization.” The conference will be held Nov. 12-14 at the Arnold and Mabel Beckman Center in Irvine, California.

Wellness chair massages offered soon

Healthy for Life is sponsoring 15-minute chair massages for employees. Massages will be offered 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Wednesdays between July 1 and Aug. 5 in Room 204 Centennial Hall. The cost is $15 for 15 minutes. To register for a massage, email Amanda Hunter-Kelley or call 466-9084. Registration is required and a minimum of 10 people must be registered for the date.

Beware of Rolla-area map advertisement scam

The Rolla Area Chamber of Commerce warns the campus community that a group named Hometown Productions is calling area businesses to sell advertisement space on new Rolla and Phelps County maps. The group is fraudulently claiming to be acting on behalf of the chamber.

Building heating water outage next week

There will be a heating water outage beginning the afternoon of Monday, June 15, and lasting until the end of the day Wednesday, June 17. The outage will only affect buildings’ heating systems.
