The schedule for fitness classes can be found at studentrec.mst.edu/aerobics. Those interested in yoga or similar classes must bring their own mat. There is no fee for students to take classes. Fees for faculty, staff and adult dependents are $15 for 10 classes and $25 for 20 classes. Fitness pass requests can be filled out online.

The final open forum to discuss plans to implement a tobacco-free policy for campus will be held from 3-4 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22, in the Missouri-Ozark Room of the Havener Center. Dr. K. Krishnamurthy, vice provost for research since 2007, has resigned from the position effective Monday, Jan. 25. A member of the Missouri S&T faculty since 1986, Krishnamurthy will return to the mechanical and aerospace engineering faculty next fall following a sabbatical.

An open forum about international student health insurance will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 3, in the Meramec-Gasconade Rooms of the Havener Center. Representatives from University of Missouri Risk and Insurance Management and Lockton Companies, the insurance provider, will be available to answer questions and provide information about the selection process, benefits and cost of the mandatory health insurance coverage for international students.

Any accident involving a university-owned vehicle or a vehicle rented or leased by or for the university for official business must be reported. To report a vehicle accident, complete UM Form 5 within 48 hours after the accident occurs and send it via email to Betty Birkner, campus claims coordinator. The campus literary and arts magazine, SOUTHWINDS, is seeking new material for its spring 2016 issue. SOUTHWINDS welcomes original poems, stories, creative nonfiction, artwork and photography from all students, faculty, staff and alumni. The deadline is traditionally Groundhog’s Day, Feb. 2, so please submit your work soon to southwinds.mst.edu, or email swinds@mst.edu. The University of Missouri System provides two types of insurance coverage for faculty and staff who travel internationally for university purposes. This insurance coverage is provided at no cost to the traveler or university department. AIG coverage includes travel accident and sickness benefits. UHC Global coverage includes evacuation and transportation services. UHC Global also provides an online location for travelers to store electronic medical information, copy of passport, travel schedule, etc. Faculty and staff who will travel internationally may contact Amy Smith in international and cultural affairs at 341-6875 to receive details of the coverage, identification card and emergency contact information.
