Tap into a new audience as ‘Research on Tap’ speaker

Printer inventory starts July 10

S&T’s information technology (IT) staff, along with representatives from Marco, will conduct an inventory of all networked HP printers across campus beginning Monday, July 10. During the week, staff and representatives will stop by offices throughout campus to take inventory of printers.

Faculty needed for Opening Week luncheon

Faculty participation is vital when welcoming new students to campus. More than 1,400 new students will be on campus in August for Opening Week orientation. This is your chance to give new students tips on how to be successful in the classroom. The faculty interaction portion of Opening Week is scheduled Tuesday, Aug. 15, Wednesday, Aug. 16, and Thursday, Aug. 17. Three time slots are available each day:

  • 10:45-11:25 a.m.
  • 11:40 a.m.-12:20 p.m.
  • 12:35-1:15 p.m.

Running judges needed for Opening Week

Student success programs seeks running judges to assist Opening Week mentor teams during their track competition. Judging will be from 8:30 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 18. Volunteer judges may pick any timeframe or stay the day. Update on S&T’s campus realignment

Several organizational changes will take place as a result of the campus budget plan, which begins Saturday, July 1, the start of fiscal year 2018. Several of these transitions will begin July 1, while others are scheduled to begin at later dates, as noted in the full article. These changes include a change in direct reports to the chancellor (including a reduction in the number of vice chancellors) and a reduction in the number of direct reports to the provost and executive vice chancellor for academic affairs (from 11 positions to nine).
