Volunteer for robotics competitions
Volunteers are needed to help staff two regional robotics championships for middle and high school students that will be held on Missouri S&T’s campus in February. VEX Robotics will be held on Saturday, Feb. 17, and the FIRST Robotics State Championship will be held Saturday, Feb. 24, both in the Gale Bullman Building. The events are expected to bring hundreds of visitors to our campus.

Seeking a sweet treat for Valentine’s Day? Miner Challenge is selling chocolate-covered strawberries as a fundraiser for the program’s alternative break trips. Strawberries cost $12 for a dozen assorted milk chocolate and white chocolate-covered strawberries.

Missouri S&T seeks comments from the public about the university in preparation for a periodic evaluation by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC). Missouri S&T will host a visit by an HLC team Oct. 8-9, 2018. The team will review Missouri S&T’s ongoing ability to meet HLC’s criteria for accreditation.

The Hispanic Film Series will present the first film of the series, The Tenth Man, at 7 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, in Room 199 Toomey Hall. The film is an Argentinean comedy of 2016, presented in Spanish with English subtitles.
