Update on Butler-Carlton sanitary sewer project

The sanitary sewer replacement project at Butler-Carlton Civil Engineering Hall has been completed. The restrooms in Butler-Carlton will not be temporarily closed tomorrow morning (Wednesday, Aug. 29) as previously planned. The replacement was necessary for the Clayco Advanced Construction and Materials Laboratory (ACML) construction project.

Gas leak fixed near design center

A gas leak was reported at the construction site south of Kummer Student Design Center at 3:33 p.m. today (Tuesday, Aug. 27). University Police, Rolla Police Department and City of Rolla Fire and Rescue responded. The gas leak was quickly fixed and no evacuation was required.

Outages planned in Butler-Carlton Hall this week

The sanitary sewer for Butler-Carlton Civil Engineering Hall is being replaced as part of construction of the Clayco Advanced Construction and Materials Library (ACML). The restrooms in Butler-Carlton will be closed 6-7:30 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28, and 6-7:30 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 29. During this time, drinking fountains and sinks also will not work in Butler-Carlton.

Temporary power outage planned at design center Aug. 27

In order to install a new transformer as part of the Kummer Student Design Center’s building expansion, the design center will have no power 2 a.m.-noon Tuesday, Aug. 27. The design center will be closed during the power outage and will reopen at noon.
