All students in the College of Arts, Sciences, and Business are invited to an open house 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 9, at the Kummer Student Design Center. The center is located at 1051 N. Bishop Ave. in Rolla.

Representatives from S&T’s student design teams will be on hand to show students what they do and answer questions.

The teams provide all students with experiences that help them meet their experiential learning requirements, prepare for successful careers and make friends.

“In your first job interview, talking about your work on a student design team is a great way to set yourself apart from other job applicants,” says Michael Haynes, a retired analytical chemist from Dow Chemical Co. who holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from S&T.

Student design teams include:

  • Miner Aviation
  • Chem-E-Car
  • Concrete Canoe
  • Drillbotics
  • Engineers Without Borders

  • Formula SAE Racing
  • Human Powered Vehicle
