S&T names founding director of the Kummer Institute Center for Resource Sustainability
Dr. Shelley D. Minteer, the Dale and Susan Poulter Endowed Chair of Biological Chemistry at the University of Utah, has been appointed founding director of the Kummer Institute Center for Resource Sustainability at Missouri University of Science and Technology. She will begin her new duties Oct. 1.

On Monday, Aug. 7, facilities operations began repairing the sewer lines outside Schrenk Hall. The repairs were scheduled to take up to four days. Now, the repairs are estimated to be complete by Monday, Aug. 21.

The University Police has received a report from a student who was the victim of an internet fraud. The victim received an unsolicited email from a Gmail account seeking employees for a part-time data-entry job that offers great pay and a flexible schedule.

Tibetan Buddhist monks to construct sand mandala painting in Havener Center
Tibetan Buddhist monks from the Drepung Loseling Monastery will create a mandala sand painting and perform special ceremonies Tuesday, Aug. 22, through Friday, Aug. 25, in the Havener Center atrium.
