Transfer Transitions orientation Aug. 16
Transfer Transitions (orientation day for transfer students) will begin at 9 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 16, in Room 120 Bulter-Carlton Civil Engineering Hall. New transfer students will participate in a design project and competition, meet faculty and staff in their departments, and learn about S&T campus life. Please welcome them when they visit your office.

The Staff Council election ballots will soon be arriving in campus mail. Do your part by casting your vote for the staff member you’d like to represent you on Staff Council. “The Spirit of Change,” a movement of students inspiring students, was founded by new student programs in 2010. Since then, approximately $3,500 has been raised to provide random acts of kindness from students to fellow students throughout the semester. These may include a free cup of coffee or an umbrella in the rain.

A benefit has been planned for Kimberley (Wagers) Haffer, who has been battling breast cancer since 2008. She is the wife of Randy Haffer, system administrator-specialist in information technology. Missouri S&T Surplus will hold a public garage sale from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 3. The sale will be located at the surplus warehouse at 301 N. Bishop Ave. (Highway 63) in Rolla.
