A new campus event designed to reconnect freshman students with their Opening Week mentors and friends is being launched this fall. Reconnection I will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, with registration beginning at 4:30 p.m., in the Havener Center atrium.

Students will not only have a chance to reconnect with their mentors and friends, they will interact with programs that will guide them in their college success, with topics such as time management, goal-setting, study tips and test-taking strategies. The event will also include faculty and student panels, refreshments, free T-shirts and other prizes.
The campus community is asked to encourage new students to attend Reconnection I on Friday, Sept. 28. Reconnection II will be held on Friday, Oct. 19, with the theme “Tools for Moving Forward.”
