Blackboard/LMS evaluation update

During the fall 2013 semester, educational technology formed a committee to evaluate Blackboard as a Learning Management System (LMS) suitable for this campus. Instructors and students from across campus participated in this committee. The campus community also had several opportunities to offer opinions and feedback through open forums and an online survey. The committee unanimously decided that Blackboard and two or three alternatives should be evaluated further, starting in January 2014.

Library extended hours

Curtis Laws Wilson Library will have extended hours for the final weeks of the semester. Beginning Monday, Dec. 2, and continuing through Thursday, Dec. 12, the library will stay open until 2 a.m. Regular hours will resume on Friday, Dec. 13.

Power outage Nov. 26

There will be a power outage 6-8 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, in Parker Hall. Due to an equipment upgrade, the entire electrical system will be turned off during this time. Building occupants should turn off all electrical equipment the evening of Monday, Nov. 25, before leaving for the day. During the outage, there will be no light, elevator or computer usage. Applications for ALDP due Dec. 6
