S&T researchers earn $3 million grant to improve sustainable jet fuels
Missouri S&T researchers have received a $3 million grant from the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to further study the effects of sustainable aviation fuels on the environment. S&T received a similar grant of over $2 million in 2022 to begin the research.

Dr. Mario Buchely, the Roberta and G. Robert Couch Assistant Professor in Materials Science and Engineering, was recently awarded the Kent D. Peaslee Junior Faculty Award from the Association for Iron and Steel Technology (AIST) Foundation.

Rezaei awarded grant to advance nanoporous materials research
Dr. Fateme Rezaei, the Linda and Bipin Doshi Professor of Chemical and Biochemical Engineering, has been granted a Major Research Instrument (MRI) award of approximately $600,000 from the National Science Foundation.

Scholars showcase summer research
The Future Research Pioneers Program (FRPP) is an opportunity for mechanical and aerospace engineering undergraduate students to conduct hands-on research at Missouri S&T. After a summer of exploration, the 2023 FRPP researchers presented their findings through poster presentations in the Toomey Hall atrium on Sept. 21.
