Sherman wins international materials science scholarship

Matthew Sherman, a junior in metallurgical engineering, has been named a 2024 recipient of the Acta Materialia Undergraduate Scholarship from The Minerals, Metals and Materials Society (TMS) Foundation.
The Acta Materialia Undergraduate Scholarship, which is for $5,000, is awarded annually to two students studying metallurgical engineering or materials science and engineering. Sherman will accept the scholarship at the annual TMS meeting in Orlando, Florida, later this month.
