She met with campus leaders, including Chris Maples, interim chancellor, and Robert Marley, provost and executive vice chancellor for academic affairs. Awarded jointly by the American Academy of Environmental Engineers and Scientists (AAEES), the Association of Environmental Engineering and Science Professors (AEESP) and the Pohland family, the award recognizes Oerther for his “sustained and outstanding efforts to bridge environmental engineering research, education and practice.”
