Wang named chair of mathematics and statistics

Dr. Xiaoming Wang has been named the inaugural Gary W. Havener Endowed Chair of Mathematics and Statistics at S&T. Wang, currently chair of the mathematics department at Southern University of Science and Technology in Shenzhen, China, will begin his duties as chair during the fall 2022 semester.
