Viganò awarded grant to study turbulence at hypersonic speeds
Dr. Davide Viganò, an assistant professor of aerospace engineering, has been awarded $200,000 from the National Science Foundation to study how turbulence behaves at high speeds and how it could be used to make hypersonic vehicles more effective.

S&T hosts first National Summer Transportation Institute
Sponsored by the Federal Highway Administration through the Missouri Department of Transportation, Missouri S&T welcomed 15 rising students in grades 10-12 for the inaugural National Summer Transportation Institute. S&T’s civil, architectural and environmental engineering department hosted the program in collaboration with the Kummer Center for STEM Education July 21-26.
