The Missouri S&T Health and Well-Being Committee was recently accepted to be a Missouri Suicide Prevention Network (MSPN) Community Coalition. This designation aligns the committee with statewide efforts to prevent suicide and promote mental health.
MSPN is an independent, nonpartisan, voluntary group of individuals, organizations and agencies (public and private) leading statewide suicide prevention efforts. The network’s goal is to develop an implementation plan for the Missouri Suicide Prevention Plan, including establishing a statewide network of community coalitions.
The S&T Health and Well-Being Committee promotes well-being and belonging through collaboration, education, advocacy and collective action. The committee, which includes many campus partners, places an emphasis on suicide prevention. With this designation, the committee will be able to connect to state-level efforts, including opportunities to network with other coalitions, and receive access to suicide prevention training opportunities and resources provided through MSPN and partners.
