Biology professor receives outstanding teaching award

Dr. Melanie Mormile, professor of biological sciences, has been awarded the Waksman Outstanding Teaching Award by the Society for Industrial Microbiology and Biotechnology. The award, presented on Aug. 6 in Boston, recognizes Mormile’s “past and continuing dedication and excellence in teaching and research of applications for industrial microbiology and biotechnology.”
