Dr. Oran Allan Pringle, Curators’ Distinguished Teaching Professor of physics, died early Friday, March 24, after a short battle with cancer. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 29, in the Carver-Turner Room of the Havener Center. The Missouri S&T Solar House Design Team will host a 5K green run/walk Saturday, April 22. Registration will open at 11 a.m. and the race will begin at noon at the Solar Village, on the corner of 10th Street and Poole Avenue. A green run is similar to a color run — participants will begin with white clothes and get decorated with paint powder as they complete the course. To celebrate Earth Day, it will be green powder.
