Celebrate Earth Day with 5K green run

The Missouri S&T Solar House Design Team will host a 5K green run/walk Saturday, April 22. Registration will open at 11 a.m. and the race will begin at noon at the Solar Village, on the corner of 10th Street and Poole Avenue. A green run is similar to a color run — participants will begin with white clothes and get decorated with paint powder as they complete the course. To celebrate Earth Day, it will be green powder.
Registration costs $5 for children and $15 for adults registered by Sunday, April 16, or $20 for adults after April 16 and on race day. Each participant will receive a free T-shirt. Proceeds from the event will help fund a student team’s participation in the U.S. Department of Energy Solar Decathlon in October in Denver. Get more details.
