Passing of former student reported, funeral services planned

Missouri S&T has received notification of the death of Steven Swiney, who died on July 6. Swiney was a former S&T student from Arnold, Missouri, and a member of Phi Kappa Theta. Visitation services will be held 5-8 p.m. Sunday, July 15, at Kutis Funeral Home, located at 5355 Lemay Ferry Road in St. Louis. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 16, at Kutis Funeral Home.

At 1 a.m. today (Wednesday, July 11), several S&T employees received an email stating their new parking permits had expired. However, this information is incorrect. Fire hydrant testing underway

Rolla Fire and Rescue personnel are conducting routine fire hydrant testing today (Wednesday, July 11) and will flush all the hydrants on campus. As sediment in pipes is flushed out, you may notice brown water momentarily in sinks. International and American actors needed for fall play

Open auditions will be held for the play “Anon(ymous)” by Naomi Izuuka at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, in the Black Box Theatre, located in Room 143 Castleman Hall. Auditions can also be made by appointment. International students or faculty are needed to fill four large roles, and approximately 15 international students or faculty are needed to read the spoken Greek Chorus. American students or faculty are needed to fill five to eight roles. No experience is necessary.
