Historians to present Civil War lecture next two Fridays

Dr. George Hoemann will present a lecture titled “Did Slavery cause the Civil War?” at 7 p.m. Friday, July 13. Florian Waitl will present a lecture titled ““The Human Dimension of War: Lessons and Insights of Local Civil War History Taught at the U.S. Army Engineer School” at 7 p.m. Friday, July 20.
Both speakers are historians and will deliver their lectures on the second floor of the Curtis Laws Wilson Library as part of the library’s summer exhibition, “Impressions of the Civil War in the West.”
