Dr. Cliff Schexnayder will present the Hurst-McCarthy Lecture, titled “Inka Engineering Project” at 2 p.m. Friday, March 8, in Room 120 Butler-Carlton Civil Engineering Hall. Schexnayder is a scholar emeritus at the Del E. Webb School of Construction at Arizona State University.

Beware printer scam

Employees have reported a recent scam in which a caller will claim to have discounted printer toners after verifying the employee’s name and job title. Without agreeing to purchase the toners or placing an order, the company may ship the items and an invoice. In one instance, the company name was Advanced Imaging Systems.

Emergency alert test planned March 6

Missouri S&T will conduct a test of its emergency alert system at noon Wednesday, March 6. The test will include a text message to students, faculty and staff saying, “This is a test of the Missouri S&T emergency mass notification system. This is only a test.” The test will also include voice and email alerts. If you are not enrolled in the emergency alert system, you may sign up at alert.mst.edu.
