The Power Plant shut down all steam production at approximately 8 a.m. today, Tuesday, May 26, to make repairs to the main steam header. The outage is anticipated to last until Monday, June 1. Dr. Ghulam Bham, assistant professor of civil, architectural and environmental engineering, is looking for volunteers to drive a simulator as part of a research project investigating traffic systems. Members of the Missouri S&T Board of Trustees have committed $7,600 to support this year’s Staff Day. The donations were made to show appreciation to Missouri S&T staff for their work. The funds will be used by Staff Council to help pay for the event, which will include the presentation of Staff Excellence Awards.
