Type in an individual’s first or last name and on the results page you’ll see faculty and staff have a column that identifies their departments. Click on the name of the department to get a list of all individuals who report to that area.

Faculty and staff golf league results

The eight-week fall 2013 faculty and staff golf league at the Miners’ Golf Course concluded on Oct. 22. There were 21 participants from various departments separated into three-person teams, with seven substitutes. The league had good weather during the majority of rounds.

Student mentors wanted

The undergraduate advising office is seeking current Missouri S&T students for the On-Track student success program. They should have sophomore to senior status with at least 2.5 a GPA. Selected mentors will receive training the first week of the spring 2014 semester. Mentors will develop and gain leadership opportunities and could work up to 10 hours per week. Interested applicants should visit advising.mst.edu/ontrack/mentors. There are only four positions available.

Death of former employee

Lois Jaquess, former administrative assistant in business and information technology, passed away Friday, Oct. 25. She worked at S&T from April 2004 to May 2011. Her last position was administrative assistant in business and information technology. Visitation will be held at noon Friday, Nov. 1, at the Rolla Church of Christ, 1303 Nagogami Road. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Null and Son Funeral Home.

Lambda Sigma Pi’s chili and chips

Lambda Sigma Pi will host its 21st annual Chili, Chips and Cheese fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 10, at St. Patrick’s Parish Center. Come out and enjoy all you can eat chili, chips and cheese. Tickets for the event are $4 in advance and $5 at the door. All proceeds will be donated to local Rolla charities.
