Join the new Men’s Chorus

Are you a man on campus who likes to sing? The Missouri S&T choirs are starting a new Men’s Chorus. Sponsored by the Miner Choir Guild, this chorus is open to any man on campus- faculty, staff and students. The group will meet noon-1:50 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays. Death of Dr. Linda Bergmann

Dr. Linda Bergmann, past director of the Writing Center and associate professor of English at S&T, died on Sunday, Jan. 12. Bergmann taught at S&T between 1996 and 2001, leaving to become director of the writing lab and professor of English at Purdue University. Quarantine summary replaces Postini

Starting Tuesday, Jan. 14, faculty and staff now receive a daily email quarantine summary containing their incoming messages identified as potential spam. Missouri S&T will no longer use the Postini service. Instead, incoming email processing and spam quarantine will be handled by Google Apps before reaching your mailbox.

eConnection returns to prime time

The eConnection will maintain this schedule until after the end of the semester. TERMINALFOUR upgrade is Jan. 21

IT will upgrade TERMINALFOUR, the university’s web content management system, 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21. All faculty and staff are required to be logged out during the upgrade. Most steps for editing and creating items in the new version of TERMINALFOUR will remain the same as the previous version. Main changes include the menu and the look of the “Direct Edit” interface. Documentation will be updated on the web support site, with the addition of training video instructions.
