LMS informational forums today

After reviewing numerous Learning Management System (LMS) providers, the faculty and student committee responsible for reviewing the current LMS have decided to recommend a change to Canvas by Instructure. EdTech will work closely with Canvas representatives to make the transition as smooth as possible. Current content in Blackboard will be moved into Canvas over the next few months. Student email changing

Information technology is excited to announce that Missouri S&T will soon move its student email and calendar platform from Microsoft Office 365 to Gmail in Google Apps. With Google Apps, S&T will gain the benefits of a single student email system by reducing confusion, ensuring consistency, streamlining student activation processes and improving technical support. Faculty and staff email accounts are Microsoft Exchange and will not be affected. The change is scheduled to take place during spring break. More information will be sent to students via email and posted on it.mst.edu as it is released.

The event will showcase EMSE graduate students’ research findings. These students will be judged on their research and awards will be presented later that day at a private department honors banquet.

Army ROTC Color Guard at Cards game

The Missouri S&T Army ROTC will be the Color Guard for the St. Louis Cardinals game on Saturday, April 26. It is “Molina Night” and the Cardinals are playing the Pittsburgh Pirates. The Army ROTC is selling tickets to the game for $25. The tickets have a face value of $40 and are in section 446 Infield Terrace. The game starts at 3:05 p.m. Support the S&T Army ROTC and contact Vickie Baker, 341-4744, or any Army ROTC Cadet for tickets.
